End-to-end, integration, and component suites engineers actually trust. I go deep on Playwright — fixtures, sharding, network mocking, and trace-based debugging — for fast, deterministic, fully parallel runs at scale.
Pipelines that fail fast and fail loud — coverage thresholds, mutation testing, flaky-test quarantine, and risk-based gating. Tool-agnostic: I wire these into any cloud CI/CD — GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Harness, CircleCI.
Finding the breaking point before users do. Load models, soak tests, and SLO-driven performance budgets with k6, Lighthouse, and Grafana dashboards.
Quality doesn't stop at deploy. Tracing, synthetic monitoring, and error-budget policies that turn production into the most honest test environment there is.
Bringing AI into the quality loop. I build agents, Claude Code skills, and plugins that scaffold tests, triage failures, and turn tribal QA knowledge into tooling any engineer can run.
Enablement, not gatekeeping. I embed with teams to spread testing literacy, run risk workshops, and make every engineer a little bit of a QA engineer.

Quality enablement for a US auto-refinance fintech — owning the Playwright automation strategy and CI/CD quality gates, and coaching engineers to treat quality as a shared responsibility.
End-to-end test automation for a privacy-compliance SaaS platform. Built and stabilized Playwright suites and wired quality gates into CI.
Automated testing for enterprise clients — maintainable Cypress frameworks built from scratch, with QA embedded early in the delivery lifecycle.
QA automation across client product builds, from test strategy to CI integration — keeping fast-moving releases reliable.
Started in quality engineering — replaced manual regression with automated suites and introduced the team's first CI checks.

Caribou Financial Inc
Tech lead for quality enablement on a US fintech — own the Playwright strategy and CI/CD quality gates that hold 80%+ E2E coverage with sub-12-minute feedback. Introduced DORA metrics, shift-left, AI agents and observability while enabling 5 product teams to own quality.
SafeGuard Privacy
Migrated the E2E suite from Cypress to Playwright (300+ tests), built unit testing and CI/CD from scratch, and cut regression from ~2 days to ~2 hours at under 1% flake. Led security testing for the platform's AI features.
Globant
Built 3 Cypress automation frameworks from scratch across 4 enterprise client teams to 75%+ coverage, set up CI/CD, and coached teams on quality and unit-testing practices.
LabsXD
Tech lead for quality — built a Selenium framework from scratch that automated ~90% of manual testing across 8 projects, sustaining 5+ releases a week. Implemented CI/CD and coached the team.

I'm Luca Ahumada — a Quality Enablement Engineer from Mendoza, Argentina, working with US-based product teams.
